No, not because the US is going to hand over Iraq’s “sovereignty” to the Iraqi people that day. No, that’s going to be a colossal cluster-fuck.

The good thing that’s going to happen on June 30th will be the release of Spider-man 2. I just watched the trailer and it looks pretty spiffy. We have a friend who’s seen the movie already (he did some of the CG animation for Dr. Octopus) and he says it’s better than the first one, which is good to hear since I was a bit underwhelmed by the first Spidey movie.
