Can I be put in suspended animation until election day, please?
I’m already getting tired of the sophomoric quips in this year’s presidential campaign, and the shit is just now starting to fly as if the candidates and their handlers were a bunch of monkeys flinging their own feces at each other (an analogy not too far off the mark, I would say). Most of it is just plain stupid bullshit, but the fear-mongering that appears to the a major component of the Bush re-election strategy is really pissing me off—
The Bush campaign’s second ad released Thursday contained a clear reference to Kerry, the text saying, “We can go forward with confidence, resolve and hope. Or we can turn back to the dangerous illusion that terrorists are not plotting and outlaw regimes are no threat.” (CNN)
