iPod mini
Natalie’s Valentine’s day gift finally arrived*—the pink iPod mini—which I ordered on 01/06/04, the day it was announced (it’s that early-adopter in me). The mini is extremely sexy. It makes my 1st gen iPod look big and clunky.
*I use the word “arrived” loosely, because our special ed FedEx delivery guy mistakenly delivered the package to the wrong address yesterday, and it was only after some difficulty that I could actually acquire it. Fuck FedEx!

The iPod mini is even smaller than my cell phone!

That’s freaky small! o_O
And the pink is so you ;) Haha - I can’t wait, in a few years i’m sure all the portables will be combined into one that will be burned directly into your brain or something and you’ll just think about it and be able to hear music, make a phone call, jot down a note, send an email, download pr0n…
Actually, I’m eagerly awaiting implantable cell phones. I honestly would be willing to have one installed in my body. The technology exists now to make this possible, so it’s time to take humanity to the next step in evolution—mergence with machines.
Yikes! Rise of the machines! Hrm. Ya don’t suppose Arny already has one of those implants do ya?? Maybe that’s why he is still so buff and doesn’t look 120 or however old he is!
PS - Thanks for the linkie change :) I’ll get on the redesign & getchoo a proper link asap.
My iPod (5GB 1st-Gen) is dead. When given power, it just restarts over and over. I’ll probably wait until the 4th-Gen iPod comes out before replacing this one.
Strange. My 5GB, which I’ve had for a looooong time, still performs like a champ—probably 7-8 hours on a charge. I’m sure you know about the $49 battery replacement kits you can buy for the 1st gens, right? When my battery does decide to give out, I’ll probably give it a new lease on life with one of those kits, cuz I’d like to replace my full-size iPod with a mini with at least a 10GB drive. Hopefully those will come out about this time next year.
